Jim Nielson aka Onestep Solutions has been working on Web sites since 1995. Before going solo in 2001, he worked for Bell Sympatico, Canada's largest ISP, where he gained experience with every aspect of the Web, taking on a different role during each of the years he was there - including online producer, senior web developer, project manager, and home page editor.

As Onestep Solutions, Jim has worked as a designer (for both print and the Web), Internet programmer, webmaster, copywriter, editor, translator, photographer, and training instructor. He continues to explore new digital horizons in side-projects as a production DJ, audio editor and video editor.

In a previous life, Jim did a PhD in English and then taught university for four years. His essays appeared in SEL, Shakespeare Quarterly, and the Dictionary of Literary Biography, he co-translated a book by the French philosopher Michel Serres, and his doctoral dissertation was published in 1993 as Unread Herrings.

Jim Nielson currently lives in Toronto's Little Italy, where he works on a laptop at various "satellite offices" (Internet cafés) and his hobbies include travel, music, and writing self-aggrandizing biographical blurbs in the third person.
